Moving Moosburg Ahead: Here Is What We Can Do
Dear citizens of Moosburg,
In the 2026 municipal elections, the citizens of Moosburg will decide whether they want continue as things have been going, or whether they want to achieve more for Moosburg and the greater Moosburg area.
The Grünen are convinced that our city has the potential for a strong future, and that Michael Stanglemaier is the right Mayor to lead us into that future. He brings fresh, pragmatic and sustainable solutions as well as a passion for the cause and many years of experience at both the city and the district level.
Standing behind Miachael Stanglmaier, we have a diverse team with drive and determination. Together, we can steer a future for Moosburg that is strong, sustainable, and fair.

“Moosburg should be a city worth living in for all people- regardless of origin, age, income, or life situation.”
Dr. Michael Stanglmaier
Dear Citizens of Moosburg,
Moosburg has been my home and the center of my life since my youth. My wife Alexandra and I have raised our older son and currently live with your younger son, and our two cats Tora and Zazou.
As a balance to my work and political activities, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, but also alone in nature: often either hiking or cycling between the Isar and Amper Rivers, or in the Hallertau area, where I grew up.
From time to time, I enjoy cooking or devoting myself to my record collection and the contents of my bookshelves. As an avid DIY enthusiast, I have done many projects in our home myself – most recently I completely renovated the terrace (except for the plastering, which I prefer to leave to the professionals.)
My children are my primary motivation for being politically active. I am committed to contributing to the community in such a way that not only the current generation but also our children and grandchildren can live well in Moosburg.
I am committed to a city that considers tomorrow, today.
Serving for 25 years on the city council (11 of which have been as Third Mayor) have made it clear to me what can be achieved.
Due to my love of Moosburg and its people, with your support, as First Mayor I would strive to securely position Moosburg for the future, both sustainably and socially. I am committed to inclusiveness, equal opportunity, and providing access for all to a good life.
To achieve this vision, we need:
–Future-oriented economic policy, which specifically attracts innovative companies to the area, thereby increasing revenue.
-Growth that leaves nobody behind. It is essential to foster concepts for affordable housing, while at the same time sensibly developing our residential areas.
–Increased citizen participation and communication– real change only succeed when everyone is heard.
–Sustainability as a guiding principle– be it in municipal buildings, energy transition, or the greening of our city center.
Your vote for die Grünen – and for me as your Mayor – can set the course for a forward looking and humane Moosburg.
Sincerely yours,
Michael Stanglmaier
Our Program in Detail
Economy: Let’s strengthen it. Room to Maneuver: Let’s create it.
Responsibility demands planning ahead to secure our financial foundations.
We must not only keep an eye on expenditures but also deliberately increase revenues through active economic development.
We Advocate:
-Further Development of Degernpoint: Expanding commercial areas facilitates local entrepreneurs and innovative small businesses.
-Active Economic Development: We support setting up a key position in the City Hall to develop incentives for new companies and to engage with existing businesses
-Modern City Marketing; With a clear vision Moosburg must be marketed as an attractive location with a high quality of life to skilled workers and companies.
Affordable Housing: We need it. Urban Planning: We can do it.
Being Responsible begins with planning – and pays off in the future
We Advocate:
-Equitable Urban Development: Housing can be created by activating vacant apartments and sensibly managing infill development
-Social Land Use: this involves creating new building sites in which the city is the primary owner, as well as generating revenue for investment in schools, daycare facilities, and infrastructure.
-An Inviting Train Station: We believe our station should be safe and service-oriented with clean restrooms, a kiosk, and an appealing waiting area.
Our Environment: Let’s preserve it. Our Population: Let’s protect it.
Our goal is to create a climate-neutral city. A real energy-transformation is key to establishing a secure future for Moosburg.
We Advocate:
-Local Energy Transition: Through expert advice and targeted funding programs for municipal heat planning, we can create an environmentally friendly and affordable heat supply. New municipal buildings must incorporate sustainable building material and renewable energy.
-Effective Protection from Heat, Heavy Rain, and Flooding: Protection from extreme weather events can be accomplished with more urban greenery, de-sealing paved areas, and securing natural floodplains along the Amper and Isar.
-Preservation of Green Areas: We support securing what makes Moosburg livable by reforesting the municipal forest and protecting our local recreational areas.
– No Development of the Schloss-Asch-Wiese
Moosburg: Let’s shape it. Citizen Participation: Let’s Foster It
Moosburg is our home and together we can shape it into a greener livable city, that you love.
We Advocate:
-A Vibrant City Center: Our city center should be an attractive place to spend time and shop that provides seating and play areas, shade from urban trees, barrier-free pathways, more space for outdoor dining, and a diverse business community. Peaceful traffic flow is not enough.
-Improved Quality of Life in All City Neighborhoods and Districts: “Feel-Good” spaces (even on hot days) with green areas, shade, and water should be created.
-An Active Culture of Remembrance: We propose creating places for education and encounters including, a modern Stalag Documentation Center, and circular routes through the city and surrounding area with information points about the 1,250 years of city history.
Quality of Life: We can create it. Cohesion: We can strengthen it.
We consider Education, child-care, senior-care, care of those with special needs and medical care, as well as inclusivity in community activities to be human rights, independent of age and income.
We Advocate:
-Meeting Places for Every Generation: from local playground spaces and attractive places for young people, to meeting points for seniors, there is still a lot of room for improvement.
-Childcare Availability for Every Child: We believe we can create enough high-quality places from infant age to school age care, through consistent implementation of needs planning.
– A Good Life for Seniors: We believe in addressing the needs of seniors by providing information on age-appropriate housing and everyday assistance offers. We support the Senior Advisory Councel
Mobility: We promote it. Safety: We create it.
Our goal is to create a city center in which people can easily live, while still being accessible with adequate parking and where people can go about their business safely and securely.
We Advocate:
-Continuation of the Flexbus Service with the Best Possible Fares: This supplies targeted and needs-based mobility for the entire greater Moosburg area.
-A Barrier Free City: We pledge to promote unrestricted mobility for everyone including those with child carriages, or walkers by lowering curbs, widening sidewalks, and smoothing pavements.
-Safe Pathways for Cycles, Scooters, and Pedestrians: Better safety and better mobility can be achieved by creating good connections within the city as well as to the surrounding area, by improving traffic management, expanding the number of cycle and pedestrian paths, creating clear crossings, and designating school routes.
People: We connect them. Community: We promote it.
Democracy thrives with participation that is inclusive of everyone.
There can be no room for hatred or divisiveness.
We Advocate:
-Transparency and Participation for All: We support formats such as citizen councils, district discussions, and online office hours to bring citizens closer to the political process and provide clear insights. A sense of community can be promoted with modern administration practices.
-A City in which to Put Down Roots: A vibrant community where everyone feels they have a place can be promoted through various kinds of events and promotion of local associations and volunteer organizations.
-Diverse Burial Options: We support the creation of individual, respectful, and dignified farewells by offering a greater variety of final resting places such as forests of mourning and nature cemeteries.
